For medium-to-large acrylic storage boxes or products designed to hold heavier items, 4–5 mm thick acrylic sheets are generally selected. Thicker sheets offer superior structural strength and resistance to deformation, enhancing the box's stability. They are suitable for office supplies, display items, and commercial showcases, as they improve both product strength and perceived quality-though they also increase fabrication complexity and production costs. Therefore, the thickness should be carefully selected based on the intended use to balance performance, aesthetics, and cost-efficiency.

 

If the storage box is large, features a complex structure, or must support significant weight over the long term, acrylic sheets with a thickness of 8 mm or greater may be chosen. While thicker sheets enhance product strength and quality, they also increase fabrication difficulty and production costs.
